This picture was taken in 1941 he was 28.
He was a combat infantryman and battled in
New Guinea Bismarck Archipelago Luzon.
He was a gentle, loving and hard working man.
We inherited his trunk and his personal mementos.
I copied some of them and attached them to the top of the trunk.
It is full of things that he loved.
I think this is a lovely tribute!!! Your photo of the trunk is great as well, I like the angle you caught it at!
