Honoring my Father in law on Veterans Day

 Paul (Daddy)

This picture was taken in 1941 he was 28.
He was a combat infantryman and battled in
New Guinea Bismarck Archipelago Luzon.
He was a gentle, loving and hard working man.

We inherited his trunk and his personal mementos.
I copied some of them and attached them to the top of the trunk.
It is full of things that he loved.

Honoring my Dad on Veterans Day

These photos of my dad were taken at 70th Signal Base
Yokohama, Japan in 1947. He was only 19 years old.

  Norman

This is my Dad today and you would never know that he will be 86 in January.

He is the best dad that any girl could ever have and he is my hero.
I'm so glad that his great grand daughter has the opportunity to know him.

Tomorrow I will be posting about my father in law.

Day Six

This one turned out rather grainy, but posted anyway because she's adorable in her PJs!

Day Five

Picture of my most beloved Bible. :) I've had this for years!

Day Four

(A bit behind!)

I love signs! :) This one is near my work and thought it would be fun.

Expression of making sure to go the RIGHT way in life!

lunch anyone?
Yes, I know you can not post to many pictures
of your grand daughter! lol!
I couldn't resist this. We were having a great time at
lunch today laughing, at least I didn't share the ones with her mouth full of food! lol!

Day Three

Today's picture is not the best, I will admit. My new camera's battery was charging and I wanted to try and get a picture of this beautiful cake that Becky made for dessert tonight. This was taken with my phone's camera with an ISO of 400.

It's Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and walnut topping. (Recipe coming soon!) Something that I am hoping to learn is how to photograph food so that it looks appetizing and beautiful.

Day Two

Day two is my mom and Chloe. Today we spent the day together; went to a fun dress up princess place for kids, out to lunch and then to best buy to get a new camera for point and shoot photos (for Project 365). It's a Canon Powershot SX170 IS. This is one of the pictures I took today, when I first got it. New to all this but felt like this wasn't bad! :) Still learning, hopefully my pictures will get better as time passes. That's my hope, anyway!

I could use some advice on this photo.

I  focused on his face then panned down to get him all in the photo
but his face is blurry and his hands are in focus.
What did I do wrong?

Check out my ride!

I like chocolate, mommy!

This is Chloe, my beautiful daughter enjoying a
mini-Twix candy on Halloween night, 2013.
Becky and I created this costume
(Becky did most of it, really!)
Might I say, cutest. costume. ever!
I have to mention this for my day one picture:
Chloe is the light of my life.
The person that means the most to me.
I never knew I had the capacity to love this much
and it grows more and more each day.
God's blessed me immensely with allowing
 me to be her mommy.
